The glandless design ensures entirely leak-proof operation. The flow rate is linear to stroke length variation, and metering accuracy is almost independent of back pressure. The diaphragm is always balanced between the pressure exerted by the hydraulic oil and the liquid to be dosed, which contributes to longer diaphragm life. Automatic air bleeding from the hydraulic oil improves metering accuracy. An in-built pressure relief valve protects the pump from pressure exceeding the rated limit. For metering pumps used in hazardous areas, the liquid head can be positioned remotely from the drive side, with the head and drive connected via hydraulic oil in a flexible tube. Overall, the pump's performance conforms to API 675 standards.
